Making marks

LIVE

This is what I have remembered and learned this week while living here:
You deserve love and kindness because you were made by love.
You deserve nothing less than peace, unity, wholesomeness, understanding, patience and happiness because that is what you bring to the world.

You deserve fulfillment of your deepest desires because you were created already able to step up to the challenges that allow you to master your fears.
You deserve to be happy simply because you breathe. Without explanations to anyone. Because you are meant to be here and no one has the right to take that away.

In times when stress and those around you make you forget what you truly deserve, remember the unique abilities you have to give. Remember your gifts.
True love is not personified. It is universal.
Breathe. Live.

Don't let a single day go by without your peace and purpose being the core of your day. Do not let your gifts stagnate in a pool of self sacrifice and chaos. Doing so can become your own demise.

Mothers and wives: when traveling thru life with small children, put the oxygen mask on first. Husbands and fathers: make your wife laugh every day and make time for what keeps you young at heart. It is that simple.

In the meantime, we are about to host a Shamanic workshop to instruct participants how to construct an ancient medicine wheel. It is the first time the gathering dome will be used in a group setting along with the bath house near it.

We will host 15 adults May 4th-13th. With a few children, a translator, cook, babysitters, the family and Shaman, so the place will be running on a full and busy vibe.
I have moved furniture around, done loads of laundry, stained decks, cleaned the chicken coupe, continued to bake and cook as needed, plant and mind flowers and vegetables, fetched wood, organized the cantina, helped guests get settled in, taken kiddo to and from school and helped to add any finishing touches to different projects around the place. Booboo has discovered the joys of chasing a bigger, playful dog and terrorizing the chickens.

Once the workshop begins, my role will change specifically to be the cook's assistant, who has flown in from the Czech Republic for this event. I look forward to working with her and learning a few new tricks in the process.

This past week we had a visit from Manfred Flucke, a dynamic stone artist who is working on an installation by the entrance to the property.

Also while filling in for the nanny, I remembered how demanding it is to have a baby and small child, when mom is stretched to the limit and still sporting a smile after an exhausting and much too long a day. And when dad needs to sacrifice the love and attention he used to receive fully in order to have a happy and healthy family.

I have enjoyed a little extra free time this past days in preparation for the demands ahead and have managed to sketch a little. I hope to be able to continue with my personal task of increasing my production of work throughout the rest of my stay here.

With my free time I also walked around the lovely nearby town of Roccatederighi, enjoyed its old streets and amazing views.

Until next week, I send you love and hope you live fully.

Pictures of week 2 & 3 here.
